Ford Motor Company announced on Tuesday that its sales in the U.S. market surged by 16.3% year-over-year in May, with the company continuing its employee pricing plan despite the escalating tariff costs. The robust sales growth was primarily fueled by the traditional internal combustion engine models, which witnessed a 17.2% increase, and hybrid models, which saw a jump of approximately 29%. Last week, Cox Automotive predicted that U.S. auto sales would decelerate in May, as the initial surge in purchasing activity spurred by tariff concerns began to wane.
