On June 1, BYD announced impressive sales figures for May, boasting a total of 376,930 passenger vehicles sold. This figure includes 204,369 pure electric vehicles and 172,561 plug-in hybrid vehicles. The company's overall automotive sales for the month amounted to 382,476 units, with cumulative sales reaching 1.76 million units so far this year. Notably, sales of new energy vehicles surged, totaling 382,500 units in May, marking a significant increase of approximately 15% compared to the same period last year. Cumulatively, new energy vehicle sales have reached 1.7634 million units, up 38.7% year-on-year.
