The Porsche China R&D Center project has officially inked an agreement to set up its base in Jiangqiao Town, Jiading District, Shanghai, in close proximity to the Hongqiao Transportation Hub. The center will occupy an office space exceeding 10,000 square meters. The initial phase of the project is anticipated to commence operations in the latter half of 2025, accommodating more than 300 engineers. The R&D center boasts state-of-the-art workshops and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) laboratories, designed to bolster development efficiency through agile and innovative practices. The first technological milestone is a bespoke infotainment system tailored to the Chinese market, which is scheduled for integration into Porsche models in 2026.
