Huawei Relinquishes 'Shangjie' Trademark to SAIC Motor Corporation Limited

Intellectual property data from Tianyancha on May 28th revealed that Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has transferred the 'Shangjie' trademark to SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. The trademark, filed under the international classification for transportation means in November 2023, has now successfully completed its registration process. Earlier this year, in February, SAIC Motor Corporation Limited and Huawei inked a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at jointly unveiling a novel mid-to-high-end smart electric vehicle brand named 'SAIC Shangjie'. This marks the fifth 'Jie' brand within the HarmonyOS Smart Mobility ecosystem. It is anticipated that the inaugural model under this brand will make its debut in the autumn of this year.
