On May 25, at 9:19 a.m., the locally manufactured C919 large aircraft, operating as flight MU5247, gracefully lifted off from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and safely touched down at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, carrying 148 passengers. The arrival was marked with a ceremonial "water arch," a grand gesture symbolizing the highest honor in civil aviation, celebrating the C919's successful maiden voyage to Xiamen. Commencing that day, the C919 will commence regular service on the Shanghai-Xiamen express route, offering one daily round-trip flight. As China's first jetliner developed independently in accordance with international airworthiness standards, the C919 boasts independent intellectual property rights.
