On May 18, the 2025 Tsinghua PBCSF Global Finance Forum convened in Shenzhen. In his keynote address, Marek Belka, the former Prime Minister of Poland, emphasized that China has emerged as a leading force in technology manufacturing and exports. Consequently, safeguarding intellectual property rights and facilitating technology transfer are paramount, necessitating a consensus forged through negotiations. Belka noted that European firms are keen to penetrate the Chinese market, and China reciprocates with an open-door policy. Additionally, he highlighted the intense debate in Europe surrounding the influx of Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) into its market, predicting that these EVs could potentially supplant Tesla's dominance in Europe. Given that Tesla is not a European entity, this shift is not seen as a significant concern. Belka advocated for Europe to diversify its market to foster more robust development.
