In a report by Japan's public broadcaster NHK on Monday, Nissan revealed plans to slash over 10,000 more jobs globally. This brings the cumulative total of job reductions to approximately 20,000, constituting 15% of the company's workforce, when combined with previously announced layoff initiatives. Last month, the Japanese automaker cautioned that, due to impairment charges, it anticipated incurring a net loss of 700 billion to 750 billion yen ($4.74 billion to $5.08 billion) for the fiscal year ending in March, marking a new record high.
