Xiaomi Motors has released a statement addressing the controversy surrounding the unlocking conditions for the SU7 Ultra's qualifying mode. The company has announced the suspension of related feature updates and anticipates resolving the issue within 4-8 weeks. In regard to the carbon fiber dual-airflow front bonnet, Xiaomi explains that it serves dual purposes: airflow export and auxiliary cooling. To address customer concerns, Xiaomi is offering users the option to replace the carbon fiber bonnet with an aluminum one or receive 20,000 points as compensation. The original carbon fiber components are crafted to high manufacturing standards, backed by a 5-year or 100,000-km warranty, and have set lap time records for mass-produced vehicles on multiple racetracks.
