Porsche Reports Over 40% Year-on-Year Decline in Sales Profit for Q1 2025, Downgrades Fiscal Year 2025 Outlook

On April 29th, Porsche AG announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, revealing an operating revenue of €8.86 billion, marking a 1.7% decrease from the same period last year. Sales profit plummeted by 40.6% year-on-year to €760 million, resulting in a sales return of 8.6%, significantly lower than the 14.2% recorded in the first quarter of 2024. Additionally, new vehicle deliveries declined by 7.9%, totaling 71,470 units.

In light of these developments, Porsche has revised its outlook for the fiscal year 2025. The company now anticipates operating revenue to fall within the range of €37 billion to €38 billion, down from the previously forecasted range of €39 billion to €40 billion. The expected sales return has also been adjusted to 6.5% to 8.5%, which is below the previously projected 10% to 12%. Furthermore, the net cash flow margin for the automotive business is expected to be 4% to 6%, a decrease from the previous estimate of 7% to 9%.
