Tesla has embarked on Robotaxi testing, which is currently accessible exclusively to employees residing in Austin and the San Francisco Bay Area. The vehicle utilized for this test phase is the Model Y, rather than the Cybercab, which was specifically engineered for autonomous driving. Through these tests, Tesla aims to gather essential data to refine and enhance its autonomous taxi service. According to reports, Tesla intends to officially introduce this service in Austin by June of this year, with an initial fleet comprising approximately 10 to 20 vehicles. However, specific charging standards for these vehicles have yet to be disclosed.
