For the third consecutive month, Tesla's sales in the European Union have experienced a sharp decline, with March witnessing a year-on-year drop of 36% to 18,224 vehicles. This represents a significant setback for the electric vehicle manufacturer helmed by Elon Musk, despite the growing appetite for battery electric vehicles in the EU market. Data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) reveals that Tesla's sales also plummeted by 47% and 50% in February and January, respectively. In stark contrast, the overall registrations of battery electric vehicles in the EU surged by 17% in March, with hybrid vehicles increasing by 24% and plug-in hybrid models by 12%.
