Foxconn Technology Group intends to introduce a variety of electric vehicle models to the Japanese market by 2027, encompassing Passenger Car Model A, electric buses, and other offerings. The company will collaborate with Japanese automakers in this endeavor. Additionally, Foxconn anticipates launching a Model B-based compact car in the Oceania region around 2026. Foxconn has demonstrated its diverse product line and expressed its openness to partnering with brands such as Honda and Nissan, although formal discussions with Nissan have yet to commence. Last year, Foxconn unveiled the Model U medium-sized electric bus, tailored for narrow cities and remote areas, underscoring its focus on flexibility and versatility. This initiative underscores Foxconn's accelerated expansion in the global electric vehicle market.
