On April 9th, BYD introduced its groundbreaking fifth-generation DM-p hybrid technology. This advanced system incorporates a specialized 1.5T engine designed exclusively for plug-in hybrids, alongside blade batteries and an innovative three-in-one rear drive assembly. This setup enables seamless transitions between two-wheel and four-wheel drive modes. A pioneering achievement, BYD's 'Full-Speed Range Wheel-End Decoupling Technology', is the first of its kind in the world, contributing to a reduction in fuel consumption by 0.5~0.8L per 100 kilometers. With the DM-p technology, the BYD Han L boasts an impressive 0-100km/h acceleration in just 3.9 seconds, a fuel economy of 4.6L/100km when the battery is low, and a combined driving range of 1,200 kilometers. Similarly, the Tang L achieves a 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.3 seconds, a fuel economy of 5.6L/100km in low battery conditions, and a combined range of 1,270 kilometers. Both models are equipped with an AI-driven energy management system and intelligent terrain recognition capabilities, enhancing both energy efficiency and the overall driving experience.
