The Volkswagen Group has announced a remarkable achievement, delivering over 150,000 fully electric vehicles in Europe during the first quarter of this year. This figure represents a more than doubling of deliveries compared to the same period last year, underscoring the sustained surge in demand for electric vehicles across the continent. In Western Europe, orders for vehicles rose by 29%, and despite an overall sales decline, sales of fully electric vehicles surged significantly. This growth can be attributed to the implementation of new EU emission targets and the introduction of innovative new models.
