In a recent interview conducted in the UK, Péter Szijjártó, Hungary's Foreign Minister, highlighted that investments from Chinese electric vehicle (EV) companies have significantly contributed to Hungary's rise as the world's second largest producer of electric vehicles. Hungary adopts an economically neutral approach, welcoming investors from both Western and Eastern regions. Among these, China, Germany, and the United States stand out as the primary investors in Hungary. Chinese investment in Hungary has surpassed 17 billion euros, making it Hungary's largest source of foreign investment in 2020, 2023, and projected for 2024.
