On April 8, Yang Dong, Deputy Director of the Price Cost and Certification Center at the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), headed a delegation to Guangdong and Sichuan provinces for a dedicated study on pricing dynamics within the new energy vehicle (NEV) and power battery industries. The research team visited leading enterprises including BYD in Shenzhen, EVE Energy in Huizhou, GAC AION, and Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle of Sinotruk Group. This visit provided them with profound insights into the price wars that have characterized the NEV sector since 2023. Furthermore, the team engaged with these enterprises, listening intently to their perspectives and recommendations on addressing intraspecific price competition and fostering high-quality industry development.
