Recently, Nanshan District in Shenzhen has taken a groundbreaking step by issuing pilot licenses for market-oriented operations of smart connected vehicles and functional unmanned vehicle road test permits to Pony.ai, Meituan, JD.com, and other enterprises. This initiative marks the first of its kind in the central urban area of a top-tier city in China. In February, Nanshan District unveiled a management framework designed to explore market-oriented operations and innovative management models for smart connected vehicles, thereby fostering large-scale industrial growth and establishing a comprehensive policy loop spanning from road testing to application pilots.
