The Beijing Regulations on Autonomous Vehicles have officially taken effect, facilitating the integration of autonomous vehicles into various travel services and permitting eligible vehicles to conduct road trials. These regulations delineate the scope of autonomous vehicles, fostering technological innovation and industrial growth while imposing penalties for unauthorized road testing. Companies must upload operational data to a dedicated management platform, and the regulations further promote policy mutual recognition and standard compatibility among Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. Currently, Beijing's high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone spans 600 square kilometers and has successfully completed numerous test verifications in collaboration with 18 enterprises.
