On March 30, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) achieved a significant milestone by delivering the inaugural C919 aircraft (formerly known as the ARJ21) to Lao Airlines. This delivery signifies the first foray of China's state-of-the-art jetliner into the Lao market and underscores a new chapter in the internationalization of Chinese commercial aviation. The aircraft, bearing the registration number RDPL-34229, is equipped with 90 all-economy seats, offering enhanced comfort for passengers. Notably, the interior and exterior markings are in Lao, and the exterior paint job features a bespoke design that prominently displays the Champaka flower, the national flower of Laos, on the tail and wings, reflecting a deep cultural connection.
