COMAC has successfully handed over the maiden C909 aircraft to Lao Airlines, heralding the debut of Chinese jetliners in the Lao market. This 90-seat, all-economy class aircraft has been leased and will serve both domestic and international routes within and surrounding Laos. To date, a cumulative total of 162 C909 aircraft have been delivered, safely accommodating over 20 million passengers. The Lao Civil Aviation Authority has granted a type acceptance certificate, and COMAC will extend comprehensive support to ensure the aircraft's safe and efficient operations in Laos, thereby aiding Lao Airlines in enhancing its capacity and facilitating fleet modernization.
