At the China EV100 Forum 2025, Vice Minister Sheng Qiuping of the Ministry of Commerce announced that the Ministry will intensify policy backing and propel the establishment of a new development paradigm for new energy vehicles (NEVs) by 2025. The specific strategies encompass: Firstly, launching a consumer goods trade-in program, expanding the support fund to 300 billion yuan, and sustaining the subsidy for NEVs at 20,000 yuan; Secondly, nurturing fresh growth avenues for automotive consumption and initiating pilot projects aimed at reforming the circulation and consumption of automobiles; Thirdly, deepening trade and investment collaborations within the automotive sector, assisting enterprises in fortifying international ties, refining the export sequence of NEVs, and attracting foreign direct investment. These measures are designed to comprehensively stimulate domestic demand and boost the consumption of new energy vehicles.
