On March 29, Li Xiang, Chairman and CEO of Lixiang One, disclosed at the China Electric Vehicle Hundred People Forum (2025) that the company has officially announced the open-sourcing of its proprietary automotive operating system, "Lixiang Xinghuan OS," with the intention of showcasing the open-source achievements by the end of April. This system excels in five key areas: flexibility, broad chip compatibility, robust performance, cost-effectiveness, and high security. Li Xiang highlighted that the company's in-house virtualization system significantly reduces performance loss by a factor of five compared to conventional methods and cuts down storage resource requirements by 30%, thereby enabling shared computing power resources. These innovative advancements and shared computing power strategies enabled Lixiang One to achieve savings of approximately several billion yuan in BOM costs in 2024.
