On March 29, during the China EV100 Forum 2025, Deng Chenghao, Vice President of Changan Automobile and CEO of Deep Blue Automobile, announced that Changan will unveil a prototype vehicle featuring all-solid-state batteries this year. The company aims to embark on large-scale vehicle installation verification in the following year, with gradual mass production anticipated by 2027. Boasting an energy density of 400Wh/kg, a driving range of up to 1,500 kilometers, and a 70% enhancement in safety compared to liquid batteries, these solid-state batteries represent a significant advancement. Deng Chenghao forecasts that widespread commercialization of solid-state batteries could materialize after 2030.
