On March 25, Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. publicly announced the submission of a recall plan in compliance with pertinent national regulations. The recall, identified as S2025M0041V, encompasses 545 imported Lexus GX vehicles manufactured between November 26, 2024, and January 14, 2025. The impetus behind this recall stems from a flaw in the communication control program interface between the multimedia display and the combined instrument cluster. This defect could result in irregular data signal processing, subsequently altering the warning sound control program of the instrument cluster. Consequently, the vehicles may fail to produce essential warning sounds, such as those indicating an unfastened seat belt, thereby posing a potential safety risk.
