Following Tesla CEO Elon Musk's role as a senior advisor to the US government's Department of Energy, Tesla dealerships, Supercharger networks, and vehicles across multiple states in the US have encountered a surge in vandalism. In response, Musk today announced that Tesla stores have bolstered their security measures, with all vehicles in the stores now activated in Sentry Mode. Sentry Mode, Tesla's advanced vehicle security system, leverages cameras, sensors, and other hardware integrated with an intelligent in-car operating system to continuously monitor the vehicle's surroundings in real-time. Upon detecting a potential threat, the system promptly alerts the owner and records evidence to ensure a swift response.
