On Thursday, Edmunds, a prominent US automotive website, released compelling data indicating that Tesla owners are trading in their vehicles for other brands at unprecedented rates, ostensibly in protest against Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The statistics underscore that during the first half of March, models from 2017 and newer accounted for 1.4% of all trade-in transactions, a marked surge from the 0.4% observed during the same period last year. Edmunds analysts foresee that this trend may well intensify in the latter half of the month.
