On the evening of March 17, NIO and CATL inked an agreement in Ningde, Fujian Province, aiming to establish the world's largest battery swapping network for passenger vehicles, standardize technical protocols, and deepen cooperation in both capital and business endeavors. Pursuant to the agreement, CATL will invest up to 2.5 billion yuan in NIO Power. By sharing technology, collaborating on capital, and adopting other synergistic strategies, both companies aim to contribute significantly to the industry and collectively drive the popularization and advancement of battery swapping services for new energy vehicles.
