New Energy Vehicle Production, Sales, and Exports Soared Over 50% in First Two Months

According to the latest figures released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on the 11th, China's automotive sector witnessed steady growth in production and sales from January to February this year, with the new energy vehicle (NEV) market standing out particularly bright. During this period, total automobile production and sales reached 4.553 million and 4.552 million units, respectively, marking a 16.2% and 13.1% increase year-on-year. Notably, NEV production and sales both surpassed the 1.9 million-unit mark, reflecting a robust 52% growth rate annually and accounting for 40.3% of total new vehicle sales. In terms of exports, NEV shipments hit 282,000 units, surging by 54.5% compared to the same period last year.
