Transport Canada is conducting an investigation into Tesla for submitting an unusually high number of subsidy applications just before the expiry of Canada's electric vehicle incentive program. According to Tesla's submissions, a dealer in Quebec reportedly claimed to have delivered approximately 4,000 vehicles over a single weekend, which has raised eyebrows given the dealership's operational capacity. In January, Canada announced that funding for the electric vehicle incentive program would soon be depleted. Notably, Tesla sold a total of 8,653 electric vehicles across four stores within the last three days, applying for subsidies exceeding CAD 43 million, which represents more than half of the remaining funds available.
