Shanghai has promulgated the "Measures to Encourage the Development of Electric Vehicle Charging and Swapping Facilities." According to these measures, charging companies will be eligible for a subsidy amounting to 30% of the equipment investment for charging facilities installed in demonstration communities from the date of implementation. Specifically, the power subsidy caps are set at 600 yuan per kilowatt (kW) for Direct Current (DC) facilities and 300 yuan/kW for Alternating Current (AC) facilities. Additionally, the owners' committee of these demonstration communities will receive a one-time subsidy based on the number of newly constructed charging spaces.
Furthermore, for battery swapping equipment installed in general-purpose battery swapping stations (which support cross-brand and cross-model services) and non-general-purpose battery swapping stations during the same period, charging companies (pertaining solely to battery swapping equipment charging and battery replacement systems, excluding batteries) will receive subsidies equivalent to 40% and 20% of the equipment investment, respectively. The power subsidy caps for these facilities are also set at 600 yuan/kW for DC and 300 yuan/kW for AC equipment.
