SAIC-GM Automobile Co., Ltd. has issued a recall for a total of 45,023 Buick Velite 6 and Chevrolet Menlo vehicles manufactured between September 2021 and April 2023. The recall is necessitated by a potential issue with the drive motor bearings, which may rust over time, leading to abnormal noises and potential power disruptions, thereby presenting a safety risk. To address this concern, the company will offer a free replacement of enhanced bearings and an upgrade to the inverter control module software, ensuring the safety and reliability of the vehicles.
