On February 28, 2025, BYD, in partnership with Astana Motors, staged a grand product launch event in both Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan, marking its official entry into the local market. The inaugural lineup featured the flagship pure electric sedan, the Han EV, alongside the SUV models Song PLUS EV and DM-i. Each model has been meticulously adapted to suit the unique climate and road conditions of Kazakhstan. The launch celebration was held concurrently at four venues, including the BYD Al-Farabi dealership in Almaty.
