Lei Jun, a deputy to the National People's Congress and the founder of Xiaomi, made a proposal during the Two Sessions that the color of green license plates for new energy vehicles should be reconsidered to enhance the aesthetic and functional design of these plates. He highlighted that as the number of young consumers rises, there is a growing diversity in demand for vehicle aesthetics and personalized features. The current green license plates for new energy vehicles limit the design potential of these vehicles, and they lack intelligent capabilities, failing to meet the intelligent needs of daily commuting and traffic management. Consequently, Lei Jun proposed refining the license plate design to better align with market demands and technological advancements.
