On March 2, BYD and DJI jointly hosted a press conference in Shenzhen, revealing that their collaboratively developed intelligent in-vehicle drone system has been christened "Lingyuan". Attending the event and delivering a keynote address was Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Group. The system comes in two variants: a battery-swapping model and a fast-charging model, designed to be compatible with multiple BYD brands and models. "Lingyuan" boasts robust hardware and software support, encompassing a hangar, drone unit, and additional hardware, alongside tailored Apps, AI recognition capabilities, and interactive software. This advanced setup enables dynamic take-offs and landings, as well as automatic drone returns, seamlessly integrating the drone into the overall vehicle ecosystem.
