On February 27, BMW Group announced that its facility in Munich, Germany, is expediting production preparations for its 'Next Generation' electric vehicle model, aiming to commence manufacturing in summer 2026. Additionally, the plant is in the process of constructing a new body shop, assembly line, and auxiliary production logistics area. BMW Group anticipates that by 2027, the Munich plant will be entirely transformed into a dedicated electric vehicle production hub, catering to the projected surge in global demand for electric vehicles by 2030.
