Three Ministries Initiate Pilot Program Application for Enhancing County-Level Charging and Battery Swapping Infrastructure in 2025

The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Transport have collectively issued a notice to commence the application process for a pilot program aimed at strengthening charging and battery swapping facilities at the county level in 2025. The program encourages two or more counties to collaborate on applications, share responsibilities and evaluations, and designates a lead county for overall coordination. Municipal districts that fulfill the criteria are also eligible to apply. Importantly, the prefecture-level city housing the pilot county must have a vehicle ownership of at least 250,000 vehicles by 2024.
