On February 24, reliable sources disclosed that Tesla is currently developing software updates tailored for Chinese customers, aiming to provide functionalities akin to the 'Full Self-Driving' (FSD) capability available in the United States. Following the implementation of these updates, the system will enable vehicles to navigate exit ramps and intersections, recognize traffic signals, execute turns, and manage lane changes and speed adjustments. Initially, these advanced features will be accessible to Chinese customers who have opted to pay RMB 64,000 (approximately $8,800) for FSD. The rollout will commence with select models, followed by a gradual expansion to cover a broader range of Tesla vehicles.
