On October 30, the European Commission officially launched a safeguard measures investigation into hybrid vehicles on a global scale. Prior to this, China and the EU, in accordance with WTO rules and in the spirit of mutual respect and equal consultation, conducted pre-filing consultations. On the basis of reciprocity and mutual benefit, they accommodated the legitimate concerns of industries on both sides and reached a lawful, compliant, pragmatic and balanced solution for hybrid vehicle trade, thereby seizing the initiative in safeguarding China's industrial interests.
