On November 3, multiple independent sources reported that Dongfeng Motor has been actively negotiating with CATL since the second quarter of this year to secure first-mounting rights for the third-generation Shenxing ultra-fast-charging battery. The two companies plan to establish a joint venture to deepen their collaboration. Through this partnership, Dongfeng aims to gain a say in battery supply, first-mounting rights for new batteries, and supply guarantee commitments, among other rights and interests.
