On October 27th, China, as a leading nation in the global new energy vehicle and intelligent mobility sector, has harnessed its industrial expertise to actively drive the formulation of international standards in pivotal domains, such as electric vehicle (EV) charging adapters and intelligent vehicle lighting. This endeavor is being pursued within the frameworks of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Specifically, the IEC has officially issued the Electric Vehicle Conductive Charging Vehicle Adapter (IEC TS 62196-7:2026), which centers on the fundamental technical specifications for DC charging vehicle adapters to tackle safety and compatibility challenges. Meanwhile, the ISO has published the Road Vehicles - Front Lighting Beam Positioning Measurement Procedures (ISO 10604:2026), standardizing the measurement procedures for intelligent vehicle lighting beam positioning to bolster nighttime driving safety. These two standards collectively offer standardized backing for the collaborative growth of the global intelligent mobility industry.
