Recently, Bosch, the globe's premier automotive parts supplier, declared its intention to spin off its mobility business operations in Germany. Additionally, three service units—namely digitalization, global business services, and global real estate—will be separated from Robert Bosch GmbH. These units will be reorganized into an independent legal entity, functioning as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bosch Group. Concurrently, the group's headquarters will undergo a transformation into a holding company, focusing solely on key functions such as financing, central research, and advanced engineering.
The newly established entity is slated to commence its operations on August 1, 2027. The entire restructuring process is anticipated to be finalized in stages by the end of the same year. A source close to Bosch China clarified that this strategic adjustment is confined to the realignment of the organizational structure within Germany. It will have no bearing on the business operations in the Chinese market, as the business landscape and investment commitments in China will remain unaltered.
