Porsche has broadened the scope of its recall owing to flaws in the wheel's central locking mechanism, strongly advising affected owners to cease driving their vehicles without delay. This latest recall encompasses an extra 548 units of the 2024 911 and 718 series sports cars. When combined with the initial recall of 2,251 vehicles from the identical batch in October 2024, it becomes evident that all the models involved were crafted using the same batch of non-conforming materials for the pertinent components. Moreover, gaps in the prior screening process for faulty parts resulted in the failure to pinpoint all the defective components. Porsche will reach out to owners, and authorized dealers will carry out complimentary inspections and substitute the faulty wheel central locking fastener components.
