This week, Leapmotor’s first European mass-production vehicle, the Leapmotor B10, rolled off the assembly line at Stellantis’ Spanish plant, signifying Leapmotor’s shift from product exports to localized production. By 2026, the plant is projected to manufacture 9,000 units of the Leapmotor B10 to fulfill sales needs in markets such as Spain, France, and Italy. Production of the Leapmotor Lafa5 is scheduled to commence at the Zaragoza plant in the first quarter of 2027. Zhu Jiangming, the founder of Leapmotor, emphasized that the share of localized production in Leapmotor’s overseas markets will exceed 40% moving forward, with this proportion set to grow further as localized R&D and manufacturing progress.
