Xpeng Motor has made an official announcement regarding the impending launch of the latest addition to the MONA family—the MONA L05. Tailored as the inaugural large five-seater SUV designed specifically for young drivers, this model marks the second vehicle in the MONA L series and stands as the series' inaugural mid-size SUV offering. Boasting body dimensions of 4870x1930x1636mm and a wheelbase spanning 2940mm, it promises generous interior space and a trunk configuration optimized for family travel needs.

Regarding the powertrain, the MONA L05 presents two distinct choices: a pure electric variant and an extended-range version. The pure electric model is outfitted with a 183kW single motor and a 71.1kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, delivering CLTC ranges of 615km, 635km, 640km, and 660km. Conversely, the extended-range variant incorporates a 1.5L range extender, with the drive motor also capable of producing a peak power of 183kW, complemented by a 37.2kWh battery pack, offering pure electric ranges of 237km, 245km, and 253km.

Internally, the MONA L05 maintains the layout of its predecessor, the L03, while introducing enhancements such as diffuse reflection ambient lighting, zero-gravity seats, and rear-seat entertainment screens. In terms of smart technology, it is anticipated to be equipped with the Tianji AIOS system, featuring dual Turing AI chips and compatibility with the second-generation VLA visual language model.

Externally, the MONA L05 adheres to the family's design ethos, showcasing a closed front fascia, T-shaped Starship headlights, a fastback SUV silhouette, and design accents including frameless exterior mirrors and doors. At the rear, it is adorned with a full-width Star Ring taillight. While the official price remains undisclosed at present, industry sources suggest that the new vehicle is likely to be priced within the range of RMB 130,000 to RMB 160,000.
