On October 12, Beijing time, Bloomberg reported that XPENG Motors can swiftly adapt its assisted driving technology to European roads using a small amount of data, without the need for development from scratch. Liu Xianming, head of XPENG's General Intelligence Center, stated that the company can fine-tune its system from one European country to another in about two weeks, using only one ten-thousandth of the data required to train the underlying AI model. XPENG is collaborating with European regulators and plans to launch its NGP system in Europe by 2027. The company also intends to promote this technology in Southeast Asia and Australia and deploy a fleet of autonomous taxis in Europe.
