Rumors have surfaced regarding potential safety issues with the brake pedal bracket of the Zunjie V800, a premium brand co-developed by Huawei and JAC Motors, sparking widespread public concern. A test video released by Dongchedi showed that the brake pedal brackets of three Zunjie V800 vehicles fractured during a high-speed emergency braking test conducted at 100km/h. This news triggered a sharp decline in JAC Motors' stock price, which hit the daily limit. In response, staff at a Harmony Intelligent Travel Experience Center mentioned that Huawei and JAC Motors will collaborate to reassess the situation and jointly release relevant data. To date, no safety issues have been identified during emergency braking tests on prototype vehicles, and there have been no reports of customers requesting returns for the affected models. JAC Motors acknowledged the issue and stated that an investigation is underway, with an official statement to be issued once the results are finalized. Further analysis by Dongchedi revealed that, among the compared models, the Zunjie V800 has the longest distance between the pivot center of the bracket and the central axis of the brake pedal. The pivot area is reinforced by only a single-layer vertical plate, and injection-molded weld marks are present in the pivot stress zone, suggesting a relatively fragile overall stress structure.
