Ford Motor Company has announced that production of the F-150 will be suspended for about a week due to issues with suppliers. This halt is expected to disrupt bulk shipments of fully assembled vehicles in the third quarter. The reduction in production poses yet another obstacle to the recovery of F-150 sales. Earlier, a fire at an aluminum supplier's facility had already caused disruptions in pickup truck production for more than a year. Presently, Ford's overall sales in the U.S. market have seen a 10% decline, with sales of the F-Series pickups (comprising the F-150 and heavy-duty variants) experiencing an 11% drop.
