On September 16, Daiwa issued a report revealing that BYD’s management has revised its sales and gross margin projections for 2026, along with providing updates on advancements in flash-charging technology. According to the updated guidance, BYD’s overseas sales are projected to reach 1.8 million units in 2026 and 2.5 million units in 2027. Looking ahead to the latter half of this year, management expressed confidence in reclaiming market share, citing increased production capacity for the second-generation blade battery as a key driver. Daiwa has assigned a 'Buy' rating to BYD. In terms of overseas profitability, management anticipates an average net profit of approximately RMB 20,000 per vehicle sold overseas and remains confident in achieving this target by 2026.
