Beginning on September 12, Lei Jun personally delivered vehicles to the inaugural group of Xiaomi Pengcheng car owners across four cities: Xuzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Chengdu. The inaugural delivery took place in Xuzhou, a city selected due to its ancient moniker "Pengcheng," which shares a phonetic resemblance with the car brand's name. During these handover events, Lei Jun had the pleasant surprise of meeting five or six users of the first-generation Xiaomi phone. Notably, in Chengdu, he encountered a pair of engineer twins who are long-time Xiaomi enthusiasts and jointly purchased the white variant of the Xiaomi Pengcheng N70. Lei Jun extended his heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support from Xiaomi's dedicated fanbase. The Xiaomi Pengcheng made its debut on September 7, boasting four distinct models. Within a mere four minutes of its launch, over 10,000 orders were secured, and deliveries commenced concurrently in 75 cities on September 12.
