A 27-year-old female driver, under the influence of alcohol, was responsible for the death of a passenger in the vehicle and was subsequently arrested. The New York police have yet to ascertain the exact reason behind the vehicle's loss of control, nor have they indicated whether Autopilot or Full Self-Driving (FSD) was engaged during the accident. Tesla's CEO, Musk, refuted assertions linking the crash to Autopilot, asserting that the accident might have been prevented had Autopilot been activated.
